Ude, who delivered a tight bowling spell and contributed in the field, said the team showed resilience during difficult moments and credited their success to consistent effort in batting, bowling, and fielding.
“We showed resilience in tough moments,” Ude said after the match. “Batting, bowling, and fielding were consistent throughout—that’s what got us this crucial win.”
The win comes after a difficult start to the tournament for Nigeria, who now prepare for key group-stage matches against Malawi and Uganda. A strong finish in these fixtures could secure the team a place in the semi-finals.
Ude called on fans to continue supporting the team through all phases of the competition, promising that the players remain committed to making the country proud.
