Udala FC Concludes 3-Day Scouting Programme

Nigerian National League (NNL) club Udala FC has concluded successfully a three-day scouting programme for six clubs in Anambra State with a European FIFA licensed football scout in attendance to spot and discover promising young footballers of Anambra extraction and beyond.

The three-day scouting programme held at the Neros Stadium Nanka was specifically for special talents under the age of 20 which saw about six clubs playing against each other in a round-robin format as the scouts and agents in attendance did the needful in selecting promising talents. In attendance for the three-day programme held at the famous Neros Stadium Nanka, Anambra State were the host Udala FC Ukeh, Riviana FC Awka, DOSAD FA Enugwu-Ukwu, Right2Win FC Umuahia, Global FC and Ozalla FC all of Onitsha.

Scouts and Football Agents present were Mr Milan Lazic from Serbia and Mr Peter Fregene Agbata, Ex-International and former U-17, U-20 and U-23 national team Goalkeeper trainer with Supersport Commentator Ralph Chidozie George also in attendance. Reacting to the scouting programme, Milan Lazic stated that Nigeria and indeed Anambra State is blessed and endowed with young footballers who are talented and can compete with their counterparts anywhere outside the shores of the country. Lazic said he has spotted good strikers, wingers and midfielders with a very bright future, he stated that the boys seen are good and can play professional football in Europe, Asia and America.

Lazic said Nigerian football has always been on top at the African level and with good developmental programmes will go beyond what it is currently, he commended Udala FC for their level of professionalism and organization, he also commended them for qualifying to play in the second tier of Nigerian club football and wish them well in their future endeavours. Also speaking General Manager of Udala FC, Henry Chinye stated that the scouting programme was a successful one, he described Milan Lazic as amongst the top football scouting agents in Europe with a track record of scouting for talents in Africa which he has done for many years. He emphasized that Milan has spotted talents that can make a name for themselves in Europe and beyond.
