Former Super Eagles central defender, Uche Henry Agbo has been showered with an avalanche of congratulatory messages, following his move to Hapoel Rishon Lezion of Israel, Sports247 reports.
Agbo, who previously played for Granada, Rayo Vallecano and Deportivo La Coruna of Spain, will now feature in the Israeli Liga Leumit at the age of 30, after completing a full transfer on Sunday.
The versatile player, who can also feature as a defensive midfielder, was formally unveiled after completing his medicals and the transfer was confirmed by his representative from UDE Sports Management Limited, in conjunction with Makoz Group.
It marks major another step forward for Agbo in the twilight of his ubiquitous career, which has also included time at Standard Liège of Belgium, Sporting Braga of Portugal and Slovan Bratislava of Slovakia.
Agbo, who earlier played for Nigeria’s under-20 national team, Flying Eagles, and later got a senior cap in 2017, is now relishing great prospects ahead of him at his new base, buoyed by a flood of goodwill messages from well-wishers.
