U-20 AFCON: Jamil Mohammed ready to dazzle Nigeria to victory in Niger

Nigerians have been advised to watch out for another Sunday Oliseh in the person of highly rated and talented Kano Pillars defensive midfielder Jamil Mohammed who has been listed in head coach Paul Aigbogun’s 21-man list to prosecute the 2019 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations championship in Niger from February 2 – 17.

 

 

The Kano Pillars star highly famous for his combative nature on the pitch will be joined by Peter Eletu of Prince Kazeem Academy, Quadri Liameed of 36 Lions, Aniekeme Okon of Akwa United and Aremu Afeez of IK Stat in Norway in Aigbogun’s midfield pool for the competition.

The player has revealed to Sports247.ng that he is in the team to fight for a starting shirt, help the team competitively and show the world what he is capable of. “My aim is to help Nigerian do well at the nation’s cup and also ensure that we get a world cup ticket.”

The Kano Pillars star has been termed the new Sunday Oliseh by many who have followed his career since it’s inception.

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will face Burundi’s junior Itamba in her first match of the tournament at the General Seyni Kountche stadium on February 2nd before going on to face host Niger and Southern Africa for a place in the semi final of the competition.
