Twenty Five Players Invited To Camp Ahead of Africa Senior Men Handball Nations Cup

The Handball Federation of Nigeria have invited twenty five players to camp ahead of the national male handball team’s preparation for the Africa Senior Men Handball Nations Cup.

According to the secretary General of HFN Alhaji Maigidasanma Mohammed, the listed players will commence camping ahead of Africa’s biggest handball championship in Lagos from December 1, 2019.

The 25 man list is made up of players who chiefly feature for Prudent Energy Handball Premier League teams as well as some from foreign based players like Obina Israel and Kalu Phillips who play in Israel, Yusuf Farouk who plays in the Macedonian top flight handball league and Rotibi Gbenga who plays in Saudi Arabia to mention a few.

The team will be led by Salami Rafiu of Issy Handball club, France with Solomon Yola Martins of Kano Pillars and Segun Tunji of Niger United as his assistants.

They will get technical support from Yerima Sylla who is on a travellers technical duty from the International Handball Federation (IHF) to assist the HFN.

The Africa Senior Handball Nations Cup will hold in January 2020 in Tunisia and Nigeria will play in group B alongside Angola, Gabon and Libya.
