Township FC Run Riot, Puts Eleven Goals Past Mbajor FC

Township Ward FC this evening at the Vandeikya Township Stadium went berserk as they tucked eleven goals past their modest opponents, Mbajor Ward FC, giving each player a goal to take home and effectively breaking the record for the most goals scored so far in the ongoing Ter Kunav Cup. Mbagbera thrashed Nyumangbagh 8 goals to nothing in the first match.

Township Ward FC recorded five goals in the first half against a hapless Mbajor side who couldn’t just match the superior firepower of the Township boys, before going ahead to complete the rout in the second half with six more goals.

In an interview after the match, Mbajor Ward FC Coach praised the efforts of his boys but admitted that Township boys were superior to his boys in every aspect of the game. When asked to rate the performance of the referees, the elderly coach simply said ”fair officiating”. Going further, he called on every Mbajor son and daughter to come to their aid financially and otherwise as all hope was not lost going into the second match.

”I want to use this opportunity to call on all Mbajor sons and daughters to support us and not lose hope because of the result, as with their support, we can bounce back in the second match” the coach pleaded.

Final score: Mbajor Ward FC 0.
Township Ward FC. 11.

Next match on Sunday will see Mbatyough Ward FC take on Mbakyaha Ward FC who lost their first match 1 – 3 to Mbadede Ward FC.

Ter Kunav Cup is getting more interesting, all thanks to the robust sponsorship by Justice John Tsoho and family as well as the focussed leadership of the Board of Vandeikya Local Government Football Council led by Mr. Robert Terlumun Akpenpuun.
