Tottenham join race to sign Anderlecht’s Nigerian youngster

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to sign Anderlecht’s Nigerian winger Paul Mukairu, Sports247 reports.

The Premier League giants joins a growing list of top European clubs including AS Roma and Bayer Leverkusen to be showing interest in the 21-year-old.

According to Belgian media outlet Voetbal24; ‘The London top club strongly believes in Mukairu’s potential and would like to attract the winger’.

Mukairu arrived at Anderlecht at the start of this season on loan from Turkish side Antalyaspor and has four goals and four assists in 20 appearances so far.

The Belgium club have the option to sign him permanently for €2.5m at the end of the season which means they are the club Jose Mourinho’s side will negotiate with.

Reports adds that Tottenham are willing to pay over €5m to get their man.
