He further beckoned on corporate bodies, major stakeholders and individuals to leverage on thier opportunity for travel sponsorship to the team as this will go a long way in helping thier objectives.

Nigeria are pitted in the same group as host Egypt, Mozambique, Senegal in the twelve nation tournament which will begin on February 19, 2023.

“This is a tough group as to say especially playing in the same group with the home team won’t be an easy task for us,” Abayomi said of the draw.

“These are football nations and they are doing well in Africa, I think if we put our house together early enough in terms of camping which I think we have started already, we can still find our way out of the group but we need a lot of hardwork and need to be consistent towards the goal.”

“As for the supporters club, you can be rest assured that Authentic Nigeria and Allied Sports Supporters Club, Egypt is more or less like our second home, remember the Nations Cup and what we did, even the U-23 qualifiers game, you can see how the supporters club turned out in large numbers and we will continue to represent,” he promised.

“We will be on ground and we will do what we know how to do best by cheering the national team to victory. All we just need is to urge cooperate bodies, well meaning Nigerians to come to our rescue and help us to achieve this so that we can see these young guys elevated to the Super Eagles.”

“Everything is all about stages, we need to encourage these young cadres from the U-15, U-17, U-20, U-23 so that they can be motivated,” he further admonished.

“We are going to do our best, everything is all about money. We need to take people from Nigeria and other parts of the world to support them. We need corporate bodies and individual sponsors,” he pleaded.
