Tosin Omoyele To Gernot Rhor, Give NPFL Players More Opportunities In The Super Eagles

Plateau United forward Tosin Omoyele has claimed that Nigeria Professional Football League players have enough quality to represent the Super Eagles at international level.

The former Nogoom FC of Egypt striker made this known, while responding to questions from journalists on one of Nigeria’s foremost Whatsapp Group, Family United By Football (FUBF) on Sunday evening.

Recently, there has been some allegations leveled against the present Super Eagles Handler, Gernot Rhor over his inability to invite a reasonable amount of NPFL players to his squad.

While the NFF are looking at giving the Franco-German a new deal, it has been revealed that the NFF has set a criteria
asking the tactician to look more into giving the home based players more opportunity in the squad and Omoyele feels the same way as the NFF.

” The Nigerian Professional Football League can boast of some great players. I think its time the Super Eagles handlers start giving the home-based players more opportunities in the team.

” Players in the NPFL are definitely good enough to represent the Super Eagles at international level, if given the chance. Omoyele told FUBF.

” A lot of NPFL players have shown what they can do when given the chance. You don’t need to invite foreign based players for all Super Eagles games, sometimes, you have to look into the players at home to prosecute games.

” I have a lot of confidence in our league and I hope the Super Eagles coach will also give us more opportunities to explore our talents at the Super Eagles.
