TOP THREE NIGERIAN PERFORMERS DURING THE WEEKEND

This weekend was filled with so many matches across different countries in Europe. Some Nigerian players stood out and made Africa’s most populous nation proud. These are the top three performers from this weekend’s set of games.

KELECHI IHEANACHO: The former U17 World Cup golden ball winner had not started a match for Leicester in 365 days. He came back with a bang, scoring a goal and providing an assist for Jamie Vardy as they thumped Aston Villa 4-1. Leicester continue to maintain their status as the closest competitors to Liverpool in the title race.

EBERECHI EZE: Eze has been doing well with QPR. His two goals against Preston were the main highlights of the game. They won the match, courtesy of Eze’s prolific goalscoring ability.

TOSIN ARABIOYO: The 22-year-old exhibited five-star defensive coordination and helped Blackburn to a 1-0 victory in the EFL championship. He was announced as the man of the match after the game which showed his stellar performance for his club.
