Sports247 reports that, while Arokodare entered the game as a 71st minute substitute, Edozie got action for only the last five minutes of the relegation doomed team’s 4-0 loss to their hosts.
Both forwards appeared to struggle for rhythm in the encounter, considering that they entered the game late, especially Edozie, who got off the visiting team’s bench in the 85th minute of play.
Despite the heavy defeat, EPL analysts rated it as a huge step forward for Edozie, who is only 19 years old, but his older brother, Samuel, plays for Southampton in the second-tier English Championship.
It could also mark an ironical turning point for the younger Edozie, who was born on May 18th, 2006 and has spent his entire football career at Wolves, which he plays for mostly as a winger.
A citation for the lad stated in part, “Edozie was born in Lewisham, South London. He began training in the XYZ Academy in 2021, where his gifted abilities were noticed.
“He signed for Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2022, playing for their youth, U18, and U21 teams in short succession. After impressing in the academy, newly appointed manager, Rob Edwards selected Edozie for the senior team.
“Following bench appearances against Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, and Grimsby Town, Edozie made his senior debut against Arsenal. Trailing 1-2, Edozie scored the equalizing goal in the 90+4th minute.”
