Wolves currently sits at the bottom of the Premier League table with only two points from 12 games, would have made the clash against Palace critical for their season’s revival.
Crystal Palace proved why they are flying high near the top of the Premier League table and Wolves are struggling at the bottom as they comfortably won 2-0 at Molineux on Saturday afternoon.
The scale of the job on the hands of new Wolves boss Rob Edwards is stark as Wolves were completely outplayed by their visitors, who barely needed to get out of third gear to dispatch their hosts.
The Eagles could have had a couple of first half goals, but went into the break goalless, despite dominating proceedings.
Wolves did actually start the second half on the front foot, but once Palace went in front there was no turning back. Daniel Munoz scored the first, capitalising on Sam Johnstone committing himself to a dive for Adam Wharton’s shot from the dege of the box that was blocked, with Munoz slotting the loose ball into the empty net.
Tolu Arokodare was replaced by H.Hee Chan in the 66th minutes with a really good piece of link-up play with Strand Larsen at the start of the second half, but his pass into Munetsi was poor and a big chance was spurned. that was about as much as he offered.
Yeremy Pino, excellent all afternoon, capped a super display with a superb goal, curling home from the edge of the box after Wolves failed to clear their lines from a corner.
