Tochukwu Ogboji Joins Strømmen on Loan for 2026 Season

Nigerian centre-back Tochukwu Joseph Ogboji (19) has been loaned out to Strømmen for the duration of the 2026 season, his parent club has confirmed.

The move is aimed at providing the highly rated defender with consistent first-team football as part of his development pathway.

Sporting director Espen Olsen emphasized the importance of regular playing time for the young prospect.

“The most important thing right now is that ‘Tochi’ gets regular minutes. Strømmen and the OBOS League represent a very good platform for him to take the next steps and gain exactly the experience he needs,” Olsen said.

With the short distance between Lillestrøm and Strømmen, the club believes it will be well-positioned to closely monitor Ogboji’s progress throughout the campaign.

“With the short travel distance to Strømmen, we have good opportunities to follow him closely during the season, both on and off the pitch,” Olsen added.

Lillestrøm SK (LSK) have previously enjoyed successful loan arrangements with Strømmen, with several players returning significantly improved after gaining valuable competitive experience.

Club officials are optimistic that Ogboji will follow a similar trajectory, viewing the OBOS League side as an ideal environment for his continued growth and professional development.

The 19-year-old defender will now look to make his mark at Strømmen as he gains crucial match exposure in the 2026 season.
