Tochukwu Nnadi’s Physical Impact Excites Olympique Marseille’s Coach

Sports247 reports that, though Nandi is yet to play a single game for OM since arriving from Zulte Waregem of Belgium in January, all of that is bound to change soon, if the words of Beye are anything to go by.

Beye, though, admitted he is yet to familiarize himself with Nnadi, who was born in Ihiagwa-Owerri, Imo State, where he played for Campos FC before moving to Madenat Alamal Football Academy in Dubai.

Nnadi, who later joined Botev Plovdiv of Bulgaria in August 2021, was part of Nigeria’s bronze-winning squad at the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, and has been tipped to sparkle soon at Marseille.

He previously starred for the Flying Eagles at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he played in all five of Nigeria’s matches, including wins over Italy and Argentina, all of which Beye believes are good foundations for the 22-year-old dazzler.

Beye told Coeur Marseilla, “Nnadi is surprising because, despite the intensity of his play, he maintains excellent control of the ball and can provide the composure we need in the centre of the pitch.

“He’s a very interesting player because he brings a lot of physical impact and is very quick. He is a mobile player who can cover a lot of ground and is highly impactful.”
