“There’s No Magic, It’s All About Having Good Eyes For Talents And Being Patient Enough For Them To Develop,” Coach Uchechukwu Of Liqui Moly Shares Secret

Liqui Moly were crowned champions of the Super 8 preseason tournament that had teams from the NPFL, NNL, and NLO who were all participating in the Lagos State FA Cup after defeating Bethel FC 1-0 in the final.

Explaining the secret to the team’s success and rise through the years, coach of the side Uchechukwu Ugwu said it was about the all-around hard work of every member and staff of the club as well as being able to spot players and wait for them to develop.

“It’s about the way we dig deep and we’re glad the lads are responding well to the conditioning as well. The entire crew, media team, team manager, doctors, bosses in the office as well the public media have put in effort collectively that have helped achieve the success we have, we’re very grateful and we won’t leave anyone behind,” Uche said told Sports247.

“There’s no magic really, it’s about having good eyes for players and having patience for them to develop. It’s been working for us and we’re really happy about it,” he added.

Liqui Moly recently gained promotion to the Nationwide League One division one from division two and will have to face parent side Collin Edwin who are coached by the same individual. Funny as this might seem, it underlines the vast talent coach Uchechukwu has been able to harness and grow.
