Senior Special Assistant to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Paul Omamomo Ojo, has charged Nigerian youths to take ownership of the nation’s future as the country marks 65 years of independence today, October 1.
In his Independence message, Ojo said the strength and progress of Nigeria depend largely on the energy, creativity, and resilience of its young population.

He urged youths to remain focused, disciplined, and innovative in order to drive the country’s development in the years ahead.
“The future belongs to the youth. At 65, Nigeria needs the ideas, the passion, and the determination of young people more than ever before. I urge our youths to rise above challenges, believe in themselves, and play active roles in shaping the destiny of our country,” Ojo stated.
He emphasized that Governor Oborevwori’s administration has continued to prioritize youth empowerment and development through education, skills training, and job creation, noting that these efforts reflect a commitment to giving young people the tools they need to succeed.
Ojo further encouraged Nigerian youths to embrace unity and patriotism, stressing that their choices and contributions will define the next chapter of the nation’s history.
