The draws for the 2019 Bet9ja Abia State Super League will hold on November 4, 2019

This is contained in a press statement released by the Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee Engr. Kelechi Orji Nnorom.

The statement says the event will kick off with a press conference thereafter the draws will be held, then proceeds to the orientation workshop for coaches and club officials, who will be taking part in the tournament.

Barr. Onyedikachi Okoro will declare the event open, while the Keynote Address will be delivered by Abia State FA Chairman, Sir E.C Chukwuemka.

It adds that Messrs Ejikeme Ikwunze and Patrick Ngwaogu will be the lead speakers at the workshop and will be joined by Myron Topclass Sport Outfits’ Intermediary Mr. Eddie Iseri Ogbemudia and other seasoned facilitators.

The statement further notes that Ikwunze former Chairman of Abia Warriors and Director of Sports Abia State and Engr. Kelechi Nnorom will handle talks on Development of grassroot football in Nigeria and Talent identification in Grassroot football respectively, while Patrick Ngwaogu, Sporting Director and Coach Kelvin Ejeh both of Abia Warriors FC will give talks on match reading/analysis and football tactics.

According to the statement, NFF Registered Intermediary and Execute Director of Myron Topclass Sport Outfits the sports agency promoting this competition Mr. Eddie Iseri Ogbemudia will handle talks on Solidarity Mechanism and Training Compensation Benefits to Grassroots Coaches and choosing an intermediary.

The workshop will only be open for coaches of the 64 registered teams for the Bet9ja Abia State Super League, who will pass through accreditation process to access the venue.

The 2019 Bet9ja Abia State Super League is the maiden edition of the grassroot soccer showpiece, which will be held annually. About 64 teams have been registered to participate in this year’s edition.

And this is the first time, teams from all 3 Senatorial Zone of Abia State will feature in a tourney of this magnitude.

Qualifying matches for the competition will kick off on November 12, 2019.
