Teslim FC Crowned Champion of Maiden Edition Of All Stars League Competition

Teslim Football Club, popularly known as Santos Sports Academy emerged champions of the maiden edition of All Stars Football league competition after defeating NRC FC 4-3 on penalties as the final match ended in a barren draw.

Teslim FC defeated the NRC FC whose unbeaten records stood tall among others coming from the group stage where they defeat the eventual champion’s Teslim FC to top the table and earn a chance in the knockout stages.

The maiden edition of the grassroots competition at Christ Palace field, Onihale Kajola Ifo welcomed Kajola Landlord Association facing off IFo Landlord Association in a Novelty match ahead of the final which ended with a late drama.

IFO landlord Association scored early in the second half to take the lead, despite a penalty goal scored by the home team to restore parity in the last minutes of the game, the restart of the game gave IFO Landlord Association the 2-1 victory, haven scored directly from the center circle.

The runners up team, NRC FC were given the scare of their lives in the semi-final when they survived Unlimited FC 5-3 on penalty shootouts to teach the final after 1-1 at full time. Teslim FC also got through to the final after a 1-0 narrow win against UnIimited FC

The intense in the final game reminds spectators about the quality of both teams as several chances were denied with amazing saves from both goalkeepers, as the game ended in a barren draw before Teslim FC emerged victorious via penalty shootout.

The coordinator, John Akintude Bankole showers his appreciation gesture after the final;

Expectedly, NRC FC captain Ajayi emerged the highest goal goals scorer. His teammate, Olosogbo Sodiq and Teslim FC captain Fatai Yusuf shares the Most valuable players award of the competition, silver and gold respectively.
