Terem Moffi’s Fellow Victim In Assault By OGC Nice’s Fans Looks For New Club

OGC Nice of France striker, Terem Moffi may start looking for a new side in January, as his teammate, Jeremie Boga, who was attacked along with him by their club’s fans, is reportedly on his way out.

Sports247 reports that, though the top brass at Nice stood by Moffi and Boga after the physical attack by their supporters, the former Chelsea star still feels insecure at the French Ligue 1 outfit.

Consequently, Moffi may consider his own options as well, considering how Boga is already being touted for a big money move in January.

The report out of France indicates that Moffi’s co-victim, who previously played for Atalanta and Sassuolo in Italy, has already been linked with three top clubs in the Serie A.

A report by TMW further revealed that Boga’s agents have made contact with the trio of AS Roma, Fiorentina and SSC Napoli, with a strong hint that transfer talks could expand in the coming week.

The decision from Boga’s camp just three days after the French club’s ultras confronted players and officials of the team with verbal and physical sense, which left Moffi and Boga both requiring medical attention.

Officials at Nice quickly issued a media statement to express full support for both players and condemn their fans’ action ‘in the strongest terms,’ but Boga’s camp appears unsatisfied.

The press statement by Nice added: “Contrary to what has been claimed, several of our players and officials were directly subjected to physical (multiple spitting and hitting) and verbal abuse.

“Florian Maurice, Terem Moffi, Jeremie Boga and Jonathan Clauss were specifically targeted in unacceptable conditions.

“Two of them are still suffering from physical and psychological consequences that prevent them from peacefully resuming the competition.”
