Dino Sporting Club’s midfield maestro Fabian Sylvanus is making a compelling case for recognition beyond Nigeria’s domestic football scene after another influential performance earned him the Matchday 4 Man of the Match award in his side’s impressive 2-0 away victory over Real Sapphire FC.
In a contest against previously unbeaten opposition, Sylvanus demonstrated the composure, creativity and midfield intelligence that have made him a valuable figure in Dino’s campaign.
The visitors established control early, dictating proceedings through the middle before Amos Adzuu capitalised on defensive confusion to open the scoring in the 23rd minute.
Although Adzuu missed an opportunity to double the advantage from the penalty spot, Dino maintained their attacking momentum, with Hunsa Ezekiel eventually sealing victory nine minutes from time.
While the goalscorers claimed the finishing honours, Sylvanus earned individual recognition for his influence in midfield, with the TCC match report describing him as Dino’s “creator-in-chief.”
Proposed player reaction — subject to Sylvanus’s confirmation:
“I want my football to open doors for me. Every time I play, I try to control the game, create opportunities and help my teammates perform better.
Winning Man of the Match is encouraging, but my dream is bigger than individual awards. I want to keep developing and take my career to the highest level.”
He previously claimed the Matchday 1 Man of the Match award after providing an assist in Dino’s 2-1 victory over Atlantic Business, making this his second individual honour in four league outings.
His development has also attracted wider attention, with football publication Footy-Africa recently identifying him among promising Nigerian academy prospects capable of earning opportunities abroad.
For The Creative Championship, his progression reflects the competition’s value in developing technically gifted players and providing a competitive environment for emerging talents.
For Fabian Sylvanus, the message is clear: he is not simply playing to win matches for Dino Sporting Club — he is building a football career that could eventually take him far beyond the TCC League.
