TCCLeague24: “The League Is Getting Stronger”, Imperial’s Favour Charles Affirms

Now in its fourth season, teams have come and gone and The Creative Championship League has definitely seen a steady rise in quality all-round and is affirmed by Imperial FC Favour Charles after a 3-1 victory for his side over Gbagada FC in MD1 on the new season.

Favour picked up the MOTM award after the wasn’t shy of expressing his joy at the feat but also quickly noting there’s still a lot to be done in the league that is getting tougher.

“I’m so happy for the victory. Winning the man of the match award puts a smile on my face”, Favour told Sports247.

“There’s still a long way to go in the league but we’ll keep believing in ourselves because the league is getting stronger”, he added.

Quizzed about the reason for the side’s success in the game and the youngster attributed it to being able to follow the gaffer’s instructions and implement all training studies.

“I believe in teamwork and I’m glad that the effort and instruction of our coach were able to be displayed by us on the pitch today”, Favour Charles concluded.

Imperial FC finished third in the previous TCC League season with 32 points, three points behind second placed and league debutants, Sporting Lagos and will hope to do one better this season.
