Sporting Lagos record goalscorer, Adio Ojora has expressed his euphoria following his hatrick against Valiant FC to become the first player to record such a number in the league this season to help his side claim their first win of the season as he looks to keep emulating Erling Haaland.
Following their 3-2 loss against Atlantic Business Football Club in their Creative Championship opener, Sporting Lagos has now picked up their first win of the season in a 4-0 trouncing of Valiant FC.
Valiant FC still remains winless following their narrow 1-0 loss to Broad City in their opening game of the season although the coach says he wasn’t bothered because the scoreline didn’t justify the performance of his boys but he sure will be having sleepless night following this big loss, Sports247.ng writes.
Goals from Chukwuma Emmanuel in the 37th minute started the riot with Adio Ojora bagging a hatrick with goals in the 69th, 81st, and 93rd minutes to seal the comfortable victory.
Speaking after his hatrick, Adio said goalscoring is his hobby, “it an honor to record the first hatrick in the league the season, I now watch Erling Haaland daily because I want to be better than the best,” he revealed.
