TCC League: Second Position Excites Dino Sporting Club Head Coach

It was a groundbreaking victory for the away side on Sunday evening at the legacy pitch Surulere stadium as Dannaz hosted Dino sporting club in the wrap-up creative championship league.

As usual, the fans of both sides came out in masses to cheer and support their club side.

Dino sporting club was in a close look to secure their final league position as a surprising penalty was awarded to the Gibson boys. Ikechukwu Friday did not disappoint his team as he shoot the ball into the wing side of the goal net in the 28th minute of play in the first half giving them a one-nil victory.

In the second-half kickoff, both sides were caught heating each other hard as the fans of the away side were seen jubilating and cheering their club side.

In the 73′ minutes, a second airdropping goal saw the ball inside the net by Okiemute Adagharagba giving the Dino sporting boys a two-nil lead in the second half.

The pressure from both sides was high as no goals were conceived by the Dannaz but instead, a brutal attack was made by the head coach of the Dino sporting club on the assistant referee which landed him a red card and was sent out of the stadium.

In an interview with Coach Godwin Gibson, he said;

“I feel so excited confirming the second position in the TCC League with a game at hand, we have worked for this result so I am not surprised but rather I am really excited and I thank God for making it possible for my boys to come out victorious”

” I felt so disappointed as a coach of a team given a red card although it’s a well-deserved card because I knew the laws of the game, the mistake I made was going ahead to hit the official of the match which I was not supposed to do, at the same time our job is at stake by the outcome of each match, if we don’t get a good result we can get sacked so when we see officiating that is not going the way it supposed to be at times we overreact. He added”

” I stood close with the linesman and his decision for calling an offside was wrong because it wasn’t offside, but for whatsoever reason for calling for offside I felt really sad and I have no choice but to touch him. I felt really disappointed for my actions and I have tendered an apology to the match officials he added”

“We were able to control the game, so far so good I will say it was an impressive performance for us. He concluded.”

Sports247.ng says a big Congratulations to Dino sporting club and its management.
