Tanzania Tennis Association (TTA) Launches Junior Program to Nurture Future Stars

Dar es Salaam – The Tanzania Tennis Association (TTA), through its Junior Tennis Initiative (JTI) program under the World Tennis Association, today conducted a training session at Kibasila Primary School with the goal of developing new talents that could one day form part of the Tanzania National Team.

The JTI program is designed to introduce the sport at the grassroots level, beginning in schools, much like football and other popular sports.

The initiative aims to broaden tennis participation among children and build a strong foundation for the game across the country.

At Kibasila Primary School in Temeke, Dar es Salaam, several sports teachers expressed their enthusiasm for the program. They commended the TTA for bringing tennis to schools and pledged to continue providing training to students in order to promote the sport.

The TTA hopes that sustained grassroots efforts through the JTI will ensure a new generation of players capable of representing Tanzania at continental and international competitions.
