Tanzanian giants Young Africans SC (Yanga) are on the verge of bringing back their former coach Nasreddine Nabi as a replacement for recently sacked Frenchman Romain Folz.
Reliable reports from within the club indicate that Yanga’s management is in the final stages of negotiations with the Tunisian tactician, with an official announcement expected within the next 48 hours.

The decision follows the club’s 1–0 loss to Silver Strikers in the CAF Champions League last Saturday in Malawi — a result that prompted the immediate dismissal of Folz.

News of Nabi’s potential return has been met with excitement and relief among Yanga fans, who regard him as one of the club’s most successful and respected coaches in recent years.
During his previous stint, Nabi guided Yanga to multiple domestic titles and memorably led the team to the 2023 CAF Confederation Cup final, where they narrowly lost to USM Alger on away goals.
Renowned for his discipline, tactical awareness, and strong rapport with players, Nabi’s return is seen as a major boost for the club as they aim to reclaim continental glory and reassert their dominance in Tanzanian football.
If confirmed, Nabi will be tasked with revitalizing Yanga’s campaign both at home and in Africa, restoring the belief that once made them one of the continent’s most formidable sides.
