Sports247 reveals that the former England international, who also previously played on loan at Bristol City, leaves Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi behind at Besiktas of Turkey, where he featured for only one season.

Abraham, who has also played for AS Roma of Italy, is now thinking of settling down fast into the Villa squad, where former Arsenal manager, Unai Emery is currently performing wonders in the English Premier League’s top-three bracket.

A report by Tribal Football added, “The 28-year-old was on loan at Besiktas from Italian giants, Roma, but the Turkish side activated an option to buy the deal, then sold him to Aston Villa for a reported £18.25m.

“The striker signs a four-and-a-half-year deal with Unai Emery’s side, moving back to England for the first time since joining Roma in 2021.

“Abraham is very familiar with the EPL club, having played a key role in their promotion from the Championship while on loan from Chelsea back in 2018-19.”

On his part, the Villa Park returnee told the club’s website: “Since this first time I arrived here, I fell in love with the club. Ever since I left this club, I’ve pretty much watched every game, so I’ve been keeping track.

“I feel like I left here as a boy and I’m definitely coming back as a man. I’d like to bring my experience to help the team as much as possible and achieve something with this club.”
