Taifa Stars Step Up Preparations to Face Zambia in World Cup Qualifier

Dar es Salaam — Tanzania’s national football team, Taifa Stars, has continued preparations ahead of their crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia, set to take place on September 8 at the New Amaan Complex in Zanzibar.

Head coach Hemed “Morocco” Suleiman confirmed that preparations are progressing well, with players showing strong determination to secure victory in what will be their final Group E encounter.

“Our preparations are going well, and the players are very focused on winning this match,” said Coach Morocco.

He added that he has reached out personally to all players — including new faces — to motivate them for the clash, despite Morocco having already secured qualification from the group. “There are players I have called for the first time and they have shown commitment in our training sessions here at the Gymkhana, which gives me comfort,” he said.

The Taifa Stars are currently third in Group E with 10 points, trailing DR Congo in second place and Morocco, who lead the group.

With home support behind them in Zanzibar, Tanzania will be aiming to finish their qualifying campaign on a high, showing both resilience and progress under Coach Morocco’s leadership.
