“Yesterday the team rested, and the players didn’t play in training. Our organization, our schedule, our program, you keep our program. And you don’t need to go the other way. Keep it the same way. Because this way our organization, I think you could show for everybody our organization,” the coach explained.

Reflecting on the team’s style of play, Peseiro outlines various aspects, including the team’s desire to command, control, play offensive football, and create goal-scoring opportunities.

Despite the draw against Guinea, he expresses satisfaction with the team’s overall performance but highlights the need to improve finishing and decision-making in vital moments.

“I think we deserve to beat the opponent for that is what I can change. Improve the finishing, put the focus and concentration.

Sometimes calm down to choose better the last moment, the last decision. The pass, the shooting, the assist. Because what I can do, our team command, control,” Peseiro emphasized.

Assessing the opponent’s performance, the coach notes that despite Guinea’s attempts, the team didn’t allow them many opportunities to score.

Looking ahead to the match against Ivory Coast, Peseiro remains focused on maintaining the team’s positive attributes and making strategic improvements.

As the anticipation builds for Nigeria vs. Ivory Coast clash, the coach concludes with a mix of emotions: “At this moment I am happy because they play well. Sad because they didn’t win.”

With 220 million Nigerian fans eagerly awaiting the outcome, the team remains determined to deliver good news in their quest for success in the AFCON tournament.
