The Italian champions took control of the match with two goals just before half-time.

Marta Pandini opened the scoring in the 40th minute, finishing off a well-worked move, before Giulia Galli doubled the advantage barely a minute later. Aktobe struggled to recover, leaving Roma firmly in charge.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons stars, Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo, played key roles in the victory.

Babajide, 25, was a constant attacking threat with her pace and creativity.

Her clever assist set up Pandini’s opener, underlining her importance to Roma’s European campaign.

At the back, 20-year-old Oladipo displayed composure and maturity throughout the 90 minutes.

With solid positioning and timely interceptions, she ensured Roma maintained a clean sheet while keeping Aktobe’s forwards at bay.

The result puts Roma one step away from the next qualifying round as the players further cement their influence in the starting eleven of Roma as they push for Glory in Europe elite football competition for women.

Roma will now face Sparta Praha in Saturday’s final, with the winner advancing to the third qualifying round.

Victory in Prague would move Roma within touching distance of a coveted place in the Women’s Champions League group phase.
