Nigeria’s women’s national team, Super Falcons’ coach, Justin Madugu is basking in sheer delight over the upcoming chance of lining his side out for two international friendlies against The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, Sports247 reports.
Although the two build-up games lined up for both sides are billed to take place at Ikenne and Abeokuta in Ogun State, Madugu is already reeling lyrical about the opportunity he will get to assess his team ahead of the African Women’s Cup of Nations.

Madugu pointed out the benefits of both matches and added: “You always crave such opportunities, hoping that, with more games like this, you’ll be able to assess your team.
You will also be able to see how far you have gone. You will see areas you need to still work on, areas of your strength and areas of your weakness.”
Madugu further stated that the forthcoming couple of matches will also accord him the opportunity of getting to see the players up close once again, as they edge closer to this year’s AWCON.
“You will be able to assess the players and see who fits into what you really want as you continue to prepare and get closer to the competition. You will try and get enough information to help you build a team you feel can really make the country proud,” Madugu posited.
