Super Falcons Camp Bubbles With Eleven Players as Training Begins in Yaoundé for Cameroon Double Header

The Super Falcons have opened camp in Yaoundé, Cameroon, as preparations intensify for their international friendly double-header against the Indomitable Lionesses.

Camp officially opened on Tuesday, with training scheduled to commence later today as the technical crew begins fine-tuning plans for the two high-profile encounters.

Team media officer Mary Catherine confirmed that camping is underway, marking the start of an intensive preparation phase for the nine-time African champions.

According to the match schedule, the first friendly will be played on February 28, while the second fixture is slated for March 3, with both matches set to take place in Yaoundé.

The games form part of Nigeria’s build-up toward their title defence at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

As of February 25, eleven players have reported to camp.

They include Rasheedat Ajibade, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Christy Ucheibe, Glory Ogbonna, Gift Monday, Joy Omewa, Esther Onyenezide, Fatima Oloko, Precious Christopher, Favour Nkwocha and Oluwatosin Demehin.

More arrivals are expected in the coming hours as the squad continues to take shape.

Training is billed to begin at 4:30 pm today, with the venue to be communicated shortly. Further updates on player movements, training schedules and camp activities will be released as preparations progress.

The friendly matches are expected to provide the Super Falcons with a valuable opportunity to assess squad depth, build team chemistry and refine tactical approaches ahead of another crucial continental campaign.
