Super Eagles players return to action in Spain

Super Eagles players plying their trade in Spain return to La Liga actions as the Spanish league restarts.

Ramon Azeez and Oghenekaro Etebo faced each other on Friday as Getafe and Granada clashed.

Azeez was an unused substitute while Etebo played a part in his team’s 2-1 loss.

On Saturday, it was Samuel Chukwueze to provide an assist to help Villarreal take home all three points against Celta Vigo.

The Nigerian winger came on as a substitute but his 90+1 minute shot was parried into the incoming Trigueros as the yellow submarines scored a late winner.

Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem played all 90 minutes in Leganes 2-1 loss to Real Valladolid.

The duo partnered in heart of defense for Leganes but could not keep the Valladolid attackers at bay.

The players will hope to return to national team duties soon.
