AC Milan are on the brink of securing Nigerian striker Victor Boniface, with reports indicating that a verbal agreement has been reached between all parties involved.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal will see Boniface join Milan on an initial €5 million loan, with a €24 million buy option included. The option is not mandatory, while the striker is expected to sign a long-term contract running until 2030.

The 24-year-old forward is scheduled to undergo medical tests as the next step before the formal signing of contracts.
The move comes as Milan seek a replacement for Swiss international Noah Okafor, who recently completed a transfer to English Championship side Leeds United.
Discussions between Milan and Boniface’s current club, Bayer Leverkusen, have already settled the structure of the loan and potential transfer fee.
Boniface, who is still under contract with Leverkusen until 2028, has seen limited playing time under new head coach Erik ten Hag, with Patrick Schick preferred as the first-choice striker.
This reduction in minutes, particularly since January, has reportedly influenced his decision to seek a move, as he targets regular football ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
If finalized, the transfer would provide Milan with a valuable addition to their attacking lineup, boosting both depth and versatility ahead of the new season.
Both the Italian club and Boniface’s representatives are understood to be keen on wrapping up the deal in the coming days, with completion expected soon after the medicals.
