Super Eagles forward Moses Simon opened his goal account for his new side Paris FC scoring a brilliant strike against Olympique Marseille in the French Ligue 1.
Marseille, last season’s Ligue 1 runners-up, started with real intent and went ahead after just 15 minutes when Mason Greenwood converted from the penalty spot. Former Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doubled the lead soon after, slotting home from close range to leave the visitors reeling.

Paris, however, showed signs of their top-flight return spirit. Ilan Kebbal pulled one back before half-time, curling an exquisite strike into the far corner. Just after the restart, Simon seized his moment, arriving at the back post to drive low into the net after Kebbal’s clever pass split the Marseille defence.
It was his first ever goal for Paris FC since making the move from FC Nantes, and what a way to introduce himself to the fans.
The Nigerian winger has already shown glimpses of his quality, and this goal will surely boost his confidence as he looks to make a big impact in Paris.
We wish him all the best for the rest of the season as he continues flying the flag high in Europe.
For Paris, defeat leaves them still searching for their first point since returning to Ligue 1 after a 46-year absence. Their opening day loss to Rennes had highlighted the scale of the challenge, and Marseille ruthlessly exposed their defensive fragilities once more.
Paris will return home next weekend to host Metz before the international break
