The match is set to take place at the prestigious Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.

The Super Eagles’ preparations for this crucial fixture have been bolstered as they welcomed a total of 22 players into their camp. Initially, eight players were available for training on Wednesday morning, with an additional two joining in the evening.

However, the real excitement unfolded when team captain, William Troost-Ekong, led 11 others into the camp, marking the first time Coach Jose Paseiro had the full complement of his squad for training.

The Nest of Champions witnessed a stellar training session as the likes of Francis Uzoho, Adebayo Adebayo, Bruno Onyemeachi, Frank Onyeka, Gift Orban, and Jordan Torunarigha were early arrivals.

Later in the day, Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Tyronne Ebuehi joined the ranks, further strengthening the Super Eagles’ resolve.

The Super Eagles’ remarkable 10-0 victory over Sao Tome and Principe last year served as a testament to their dominance, but the visitors, arriving in Nigeria with a different squad composed of foreign-based stars, are determined to challenge Nigeria’s recent vulnerability at home.

Currently topping the group with 12 points, the Super Eagles find themselves just two points shy of Guinea-Bissau in second place.

A victory or even a draw in Sunday’s match will secure Nigeria’s place in the AFCON 2024 in Cote d’Ivoire, cementing their status as champions of the group.

With a full house and an undeniable spirit of determination, the Super Eagles are poised to soar to victory, promising an electrifying showdown on the horizon as they strive to secure their place in Africa’s premier football tournament.
