Sunsel FC Chairman Calls For Nigeria Leagues Improvement Amidst Players’ Desperation For Greener Pastures Abroad

Engr. Eugene Eremionkhale, Chairman of Sunsel FC has talked up the need for the proper management and substantial improvement on Nigeria Leagues in order to aid player’s career growth and stop document falsification amidst desperation to seek greener pastures abroad.

He said: “Rather than improve our system of records we have put our trust on the players who often than not are controlled by their family & dishonest Agents, Nigerian young players are so frustrated with the lack of progress of our league & that desperation to play international football could make them vulnerable to a point that they are induced to the extent that some deny representing their training clubs, despite huge investment on them during their training periods on the passports.”

“Some deliberately omit their clubs that discovered them totally, a situation where such clubs lose every revenue supposedly to be claimed for the training & education of d player. Our structure at the State Football or Area Municipal Council (FCT Abuja) as affiliates to the federation are the answers to this growing cancer we have created.”
“We are badly exposing our players who are transferred internationally by asking them to certify incorrect data using fingerprint that information on the player passport reflect her true career trajectory (Which is at variance with verifiable evidence that can be presented by training clubs).”

Eugene posited that Nigerian players can get maximum satisfaction on their career paths if the due processes for their transfers to other clubs are duly followed to avoid FIFA’s wrath and give the player a life-long settled path and commitment to financial obligation as agreed to their parent clubs.
