Chairman of the Kogi State Football Association, Hassan Wada, has reiterated his support for Eric Chelle, urging the Nigeria Football Federation to maintain stability by keeping the Franco-Malian in charge of the national team.
Wada stated that many Nigerians are eager to see Chelle continue his work with the Nigeria national football team, especially following the positive performances recorded under his leadership.

According to the football administrator, Chelle’s record with the team already speaks for itself, and the federation should focus on continuity rather than making another coaching change.
“Nigerians are excited to see Chelle continue,” Wada said.
The Kogi FA chairman explained that constant changes in leadership can disrupt the progress of a national team, particularly when a coach is already building a competitive squad.
He noted that Chelle has begun laying the foundation for a team capable of competing strongly in major tournaments.
“His record with the team speaks for him,” Wada added.
Wada stressed that maintaining the current technical setup will help the team grow stronger and more consistent over time.
He also highlighted the importance of giving coaches adequate time to implement their philosophy and long-term plans.
According to him, Nigerian football has often suffered from impatience when it comes to coaching decisions.
“The federation should stick with him,” he advised.
Wada concluded by urging the NFF to prioritize stability within the national team structure, insisting that continuity will allow Chelle to fully develop the squad and build a formidable Super Eagles side for future competitions.
