Chippa United of South Africa goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali has come out with a bold declaration that the time has come for Nigeria to rule the continent, which he believes they should do by winning the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, Sports247 reports.
Nwabali reckoned further that, considering how the Super Eagles went all the way to the final at the last edition, before losing to the host country, Cote d’Ivoire, the Nigerian team should step up and win the next one in Morocco.

Although he admitted it will not be an easy task to accomplish, Nwabali stressed that, since Nigeria is regarded as a big country in football, the players just have to work harder and confirm their esteemed status.
The stocky shot-stopper added, “We are a big nation, so going into a major competition like this takes a lot. African Cup of Nations is one of the biggest tournaments in the world, not only in Africa.
“That’s why, as a big nation, Nigeria always expects to win it, not just to go there and participate. However, football is not something you can easily predict.
“Not withstanding, since we played in the final last year, I feel that probably this time we are going to win it.”
