SSI Premiership: Red Arrows Hit Their First Win,Nestrac Bounces Back To Life As Jazzy Stars Refuse To Drop Point

Erstwhile whipping boys of the SSI Premiership, Red Arrows FA, put a smile on the faces of their faithful fans as they recorded their first win in 7 matches as they defeated fellow bottom placers, Clapai FA 3-1 on Saturday at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium.

Tormentor in chief to Red Arrows FA, Moses Richard put Clapai Stars FA ahead in the 22nd mins, Salisu Sani equalized for Red Arrows in the 46th minute, and the duo of Dare Ishaku and Aminu Adam put the game beyond the reach of Clapai FA as they forced the ball to kiss the net in the 78th and 84th minutes.

Nestrac FA got back to winning ways beating highly rated Derby FA 2-1, after losing three straight matches.

Kuyet Kato got a big one in the 9th minute, Michael Goyok got the second in the 72nd minute before Moses Umaru got the consolatory goal in the 86th minute for Derby FA.

In the second match of the day, a youthful J. Cadets FA side slowed a high-riding El-Spuron side down by holding them to a 1-1 draw.

Harrison Becks put El-Spuron ahead in the 22nd minute, but a wounded Cadets FA, who were beaten in 3 straight matches, equalized in the 32nd minute via a header by Prince Gobum.

Ajester FA on their own part showed that experience is the best teacher as they swamped over a sweet playing Highland Stars FA, basing them 4-2.

Highland Stars FA went ahead in the 5th and 16th minute via the boots of Pirman Koel and Dakom Peter respectively, Abduljabar Musa reduced the deficit for Ajester FA in the 19th minute via penalty to end the first half 2-1 in favor of the boys from Jos South local government area.

Barely two minutes of resumption for second half hostilities, one of the players gunning for the highest goals scorers award, equalized for Ajester in the 47th minute, got his brace in the 75th minute, before Ibrahim Shuaibu put the icing on the cake in the 81st minute to end the interesting encounter, Ajester FA 4 Highland Stars FA 2.

The last match of the day saw league leaders, Jazzy Stars FA maintains their unbeaten record as they overpowered Super Stars FA, beating them 2-1.

Ababu Azi got the first goal for Jazzy Stars, fondly called the Galaxies by their admirers, Umar Abdulahi equalized for SuperStars FA in the 41st minute before Jazzy Stars FA were awarded a penalty in the 78th minute after a Super Stars FA defender handled the ball in the 18-yard box.
Oladayo Olatunde neatly converted the penalty for Jazzy Stars FA.
