A groundbreaking grassroots development project is set to redefine the future of youth empowerment in Nigeria, as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Hon. Adeyinka Adeboye, and the Chairman of Kwara United Football Club, Kumbi Titiloye, jointly unveiled plans for a first-of-its-kind Football and Agriculture Integrated Academy in Oro, Kwara State.
In an exclusive interview with Sports247, Titiloye revealed that the initiative—conceived and driven by “two proud sons of Oro,” himself and SSA Adeboye—is designed to reshape football development in the country while simultaneously equipping young Nigerians with vital agricultural skills needed for long-term national food security.

“What we want to do is incorporate agriculture into football development,” Titiloye explained.
“This academy will train young footballers in the techniques of the game and also in the fundamentals of agriculture, especially livestock production.”
The academy, which sits on seven hectares of cleared land, is scheduled to begin full structural development in early 2026. The project aims to prepare students for dual success—on the pitch and beyond their playing years. With the average football career lasting only 10–15 years, the academy will empower trainees with the capacity to build sustainable businesses after retirement.
SSA Adeboye, who shares the vision and co-ownership of the project, has long championed youth development models that merge sports with vocational training, aligning with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to Titiloye, the academy will offer:
FIFA-standard football training
Agricultural education focused on livestock and modern farming
A four-star hotel for sports camps, retreats and visiting teams
Future affiliation with NFF and CAF
A business incubation pathway for students interested in agriculture
“It’s a win-win,” he added.
“If you don’t reach the highest level in football, we will help you build your own livestock company. This is how we secure Nigeria’s sporting future and strengthen our food security.”
The project partners are now calling for support from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, corporate Nigeria, and well-meaning citizens to bring the visionary academy to full reality.
With SSA Adeboye’s national influence and Titiloye’s football administration expertise, the Football–Agriculture Academy stands poised to become one of Nigeria’s most innovative youth development institutions—where sport meets sustainability, and talent meets opportunity.
