The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Hon. Speaking after the event, the SSA noted that the gathering went far beyond the breaking of fast, describing it as “a living expression of what Ramadan truly represents—togetherness, culture, compassion, and shared humanity.”

The atmosphere of the evening, he said, was filled with warmth, purpose, and a deep sense of community, as guests from different backgrounds came together in the spirit of faith and service.

Hon. Adeboye commended Barr. Lukman Akinsanya, Founder of the Pepc Foundation, and the entire organising team for creating what he described as “a beautiful space where faith meets community, and where meaningful bonds are strengthened in the heart of Lagos.”

He further highlighted the importance of initiatives that foster social cohesion, especially during Ramadan, a period devoted to reflection, empathy, and service to others.

The SSA also praised the Foundation for extending support to the City Boy Movement, noting that such gestures reinforce the idea that sustainable growth is achieved when communities intentionally uplift one another.

“It was inspiring to witness support being shared and communities being strengthened. This is how progress happens—when we come together with purpose and compassion,” he stated.

Reaffirming his commitment to grassroots development, Hon. Adeboye emphasized that events like the Pepc Foundation Iftar align with broader national values of unity, inclusion, and shared responsibility.

Summing up the experience, he described the evening in simple but powerful terms:

Together, we eat.

Together, we pray.

Together, we grow.

He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be part of the gathering and looked forward to more moments that bring people together across faith, culture, and community lines.

The Pepc Foundation Iftar stands as another reminder of how community-driven initiatives continue to play a vital role in strengthening social bonds and promoting shared values in Nigeria’s diverse society.
