Sports Ministry, NFF Have Huge Role To Play In Getting Supporters Club To Abuja

Ahead of the second-leg FIFA World Cup qualifying Playoff between Nigeria and Ghana in Abuja, the President of Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied sports supporters club, ANFASSC says the Supporters Club has a very huge role to play.

The Super Eagles must defeat Ghana for a place at the Qatar 2022 World Cup after playing goalless in the first leg in Kumasi.

The 40 thousand capacity stadium in Kumasi was filled to the brim on Friday, the ANFASSC boss has however noted that Nigeria needs to replicate that in order to assist the boys.

He said, “The role of the Supporters club can never be overemphasized, we saw how the Ghanaians were intimidated by that crowd, we need to do the same, it will serve as a boost and give the players the feeling of playing at home”.

“Kudos to the Federal government and the Nigeria Football Federation for their assistance over the years, at this point, we need to get more members to Abuja”

“Supporters Club members are trained, irrespective of the situation of the game, we will support till the end, that’s why the NFF and the Sports Ministry get into action by ensuring that we have a full complement of the guys.
