One of the sponsors of the “Post COVID-19 Boxing Clash” billed for Lagos on 12 December 2020, Akendre Taylor of Snapper Management, Las Vegas, USA has said he decided to partner with LPMG, a promotion outfit owned by Nigerian-American, Nelson Aiyelabowo because he wants to make the country the hub of professional boxing in the world.

Speaking from his base in the USA, Taylor said Nigeria is blessed with promising boxing talents, hence the need for a partnership with his company and LPMG to help bring these boxers to the world limelight.

He stated further that having worked and seen Nigerian professional boxers in the course of his sojourn, he is convinced of churning out more world-beaters.

In the words of the seasoned promoter: “We are coming to Nigeria to unearth raw boxing talents and nurture them to greater heights and before you know it Nigerian professional boxers would start becoming the beautiful brides.”

On what to expect on the day of the event sanctioned by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control, NBBofC, he hinted that all modalities laid down by the Presidential Task Force, PTF, on Covid-19 would be adhered to strictly, adding that the day promises to be a bliss, as “It would be a razzmatazz, a combination of boxing and entertainment would be on display.”

On the security challenge, he assured maximum security in and around the yet to be disclosed venue of the boxing show.
