South Africa vs Super Eagles: Ola Aina Begs Nigerian Fans – Keep Believing In Us

Nottingham Forest of England defender Ola Aina has sent out another heartwarming appeal for Nigerian football fans to keep believing in the Super Eagles’ chances of qualifying for next year’s FIFA World Cup.

Sports247 reports that the latest appeal from the Eagles’ right-full-back comes a few hours to their clash with South Africa, which is bound to be their most decisive fixture of all in the race to USA/Canada/Mexico 2026.

Heading into Tuesday’s potentially explosive match at Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein, Aina admitted that the Eagles need more than physical preparation and tactical planning to win the game, hence his plea for psychology backing from the fans as well.

Aina declared, “We have to believe, that’s first and foremost. It’s true that we need to work on the pitch, but you have to believe first.”

The dark-skinned defender, who previously played for Chelsea, Hull City, and Fulham of England, as well as Torino of Italy, added that all players in the Eagles’ camp are equally determined to win on Tuesday, but stressed that winning the game will go beyond their efforts alone.

“We are ready for the challenge, but it’s not going to be easy. There are a lot of things involved in football, but we are going to try our best. So, keep believing in us and support us,” Aina pleaded.
