Somiari Alalibo: Unity got us going in the NPFL

Dakkada FC central defender, Somiari Alalibo has disclosed that unity within the Dakkada FC squad has been the motivating factor for the club.

Dakkada FC are debutants in the NPFL after only gaining promotion last season from the NNL.

In an exclusive interview with Sports247 today, the central defender when asked what the team’s motivation was after a fine show in a debut season, said “To be very realistic, it’s the unity we had in the team because we’ve stayed together for awhile.”

He continued by saying “we all wanted to make names for ourselves.”

On the feeling of playing in the NPFL, the player who hails from Rivers State said the feeling is an eternal one.

“Lol. I always feel happy when seeing my action pic (tures) with an NPFL badge. It’s a dream come through. And
It’s a memory I’ll live with all of my life.”

The Uyo born player said Dakkada has a chance to finish in the top 4, if the league restarts from the Corona virus break.

“Yes
This is because we’ve rested enough. And we will all come out strong and fresh.”

Following a successful debut season with Dakkada FC, the defender has been linked with NPFL big guns like Enugu Rangers, Enyimba International and Plateau United.
