Sloppy Ndidi, Iheanacho rated highly in Leicester Stalemate clash with Brighton

Wilfred Ndidi was far from his best in thier EPL home clash with Brighton although Iheanacho showed glimpses of sparkles after they managed to salvage a draw all thanks to Peter Schmeichel’s heroics as thier Champions League fight suffered another setback, dropping 4 points in two games.

But it could have been three points dropped if not for Kasper Schmeichel’s penalty save, the Dane denying Neal Maupay after a quarter of an hour in the game’s best, and arguably only clear-cut chance.

City struggled throughout, misplacing passes, miscontrolling the ball, and failing to muster any kind of serious threat around the Seagulls area.

Rodgers’ said: “The first half wasn’t the best. There wasn’t a lot of good play. Kasper made a great save from the penalty. Second half we were much better, our movement and our pressing. We were able to sustain the attacks. It just felt like the goal was coming. We had a desire to win the game and we kept going right until the very end. We just have to get that quality in our game sooner rather than later.”

Wilfred Ndidi: Intercepted the ball and gave it away in equal measure, Ndidi struggled in a defensive-midfield two, as he often did under Puel. He and Mendy got in each other’s way from time to time. (5)

Kelechi Iheanacho: He was probably the best of City’s players on the ball, but he did not receive it nearly enough. His footwork was tidy, and he made good decisions with his passing. He perhaps substituted too early. (6)
