Simba Striker Jonathan Sowah Takes Tanzanian Premier League Top Scorer Lead With Early Brace

Dar es Salaam – Ghanaian international Jonathan Sowah has quickly made his mark in the Tanzanian Premier League, emerging as the season’s early top scorer following his decisive contributions for Simba SC.

Speaking after Simba’s 2-1 win over JKT Tanzania, in which he scored the winning goal off the bench, Sowah expressed his delight at joining the Tanzanian giants.

“I want to help my team win the championship this season but also win the top scorer award. This is the third match and I have scored two goals — it’s a good start,” Sowah said.

The striker, used so far mainly as a substitute, insisted he respects the coach’s decisions and is focused on delivering whenever called upon.

“I am a black Simba and will continue to score in every game I get the chance to play,” he added.

The victory has propelled Simba SC to the top of the NBC Premier League standings, with maximum points from their first three matches, signaling a strong start to the campaign.
