Simba SC Set for Eswatini Trip Ahead of CAF Champions League Clash with Nsingizini Hotspurs

Dar es Salaam – Tanzanian football powerhouse Simba SC are set to depart the country on Thursday, October 16, for Eswatini, ahead of their much-anticipated CAF Champions League encounter against Nsingizini Hotspurs.

The first-leg fixture is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 19, as the Reds of Msimbazi begin their continental campaign determined to make a strong statement after last season’s disappointment in the CAF Confederation Cup, where they fell short of reaching the final under former coach Fadlu Davids.

Speaking ahead of the team’s departure, Simba SC Manager, Patrick Rweyemamu, expressed confidence in the squad’s readiness and the technical team’s preparations.

“It is a tough match, but we are going in prepared for anything. The two friendly games we played against Al Hilal have helped coach Dimitar Pantev assess the team’s strengths and areas to improve,” Rweyemamu said.

Simba’s recent friendly matches against Sudanese giants Al Hilal have provided valuable insights for the Bulgarian coach, who took charge of the team earlier this season. The encounters were aimed at fine-tuning tactics and improving match fitness ahead of their continental opener.

With the squad reportedly in high spirits and training sessions focused on tactical discipline and finishing, Simba fans are hopeful the team will secure a crucial away result to boost their chances of advancing to the next round.

The Msimbazi Reds will be banking on their experience, squad depth, and continental pedigree as they aim to reclaim their status as one of Africa’s elite football clubs in this year’s CAF Champions League campaign.
