Seyi Law Reveals His Love For Football At Cup Final In Ijanikin

Ace comedian, Seyi Law has revealed that he has a solid love and passion for football at the grassroots, as he turned up for a cup final in the Ijanikin area of Lagos.

In contrast with skepticism and doubt among fans and stakeholders ahead of the final at Ashiribo Field, Seyi Law turned up live.

Speculation ran riot heading into the big match, as the organizers kept hyping Seyi Law among the invited guests, with Big Brother Nigeria winner, Laycon also listed.

However, while Laycon and a couple of other personalities spent only a few minutes at the venue, before leaving unceremoniously Seyi Law willingly and excitedly stayed till the end.

He ended up cracking some jokes right after the final whistle of the encounter, in which a first-half goal by Monday Eze gave Young Stars of Satellite Town a 1-0 victory.

The new champions, with Coach Osahon Emokpae at the helm of technical affairs, assisted by Hyginus Okoye and Seyi Adeboye, also claimed a number of individual awards, all of which were announced and hyped by Seyi Law.

Opera News was live at the match and gathered that the winning team is highly regarded in the Ojo, Okoko, Ijanikin, and FESTAC Town axis of Lagos as the squad that produced Super Eagles’ striker, Paul Ebere Onuachu.

Friday was a different story for Coach Osahon’s team, though, as a new line of youth football talents were unveiled, much to the delight of Seyi Law and everyone else at the venue.

The foremost comedian, who also posed for photographs with some fans and teenagers, praised the organizers for a job well done.

Seyi Law retorted: “I’m happy to be here to watch this match and enjoy being with these wonderful people that are gathered here.

“It’s been good seeing these young footballers display their skills and go home with such wonderful gifts from the organizers.

“I will like to honor another invitation like this, especially from this young man that packaged this program and even played in the match. Keep up the good work.”
