Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has affirmed that her husband’s administration is committed to developing sports as much as it is also concerned about the progress of every other sector in the country.
Sports247 reports that Senator Tinubu made the declaration during the closing ceremony of the 3rd National Para Games at Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, where she also praised efforts of the National Sports Commission (NSC).

Senator Tinubu, who was represented by the vice-president’s wife, Nana Kashim Shettima, also commended all the athletes for their discipline, focus and resilience, with a philosophical verdict that every one of them are winners.
She also praised the NSC’s chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko for marshalling an ‘inclusive competition’ for physically challenged athletes, who she assured of more attention from President Tinubu’s administration.
Nigeria’s first lady stated, “I celebrate and commend all the athletes for their active participation at this competition. For those who have won medals and those who did not win, you all are worthy winners and champions.
“This government is always committed to the life of every Nigerian, because every Nigerian life matters. Mr President is committed to sports, like every other sector, which is why no one is left behind in the renewed hope aspiration of this government.
“I also want to commend the chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko and his team for ensuring a successful organisation of these games and for positively reshaping the state of Nigerian sports.”
Sports247 reports further that Enugu State emerged champions of the games with 40 gold, eight silver and seven bronze medals, while Bayelsa State placed second with 25 gold, 30 silver and 34 bronze medals.
